Forty Days of Prayer: August 3-September 11, 2005

Me contenta cuando leo el blog de otras personas o escucho a hablar a muchos del sentir tan grande que hay en tomar en serio la importancia de la oración y la adoración. Hay tanto por que orar, pero es necesario que nos mantengamos unidos en esto; en un mismo pensar, un mismo sentir y un mismo Espíritu. En esta semana comienzan los 40 días de oración, auspiciado por Urbana, la convención misionera estudiantil de InterVarsity. Cada día estaré proveyendo en este blog, una guía de lectura para acompañar tu momento de oración. Siéntete libre de escribir en los comentarios, tus reflexiones y motivos de oración por los que desees que nos unamos en oración. “La oración es poderosa”


"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21

  • Do we really believe that?
  • Can God really do "immeasurably more" than all we ask?
  • Is He truly able to do more than we can even imagine?
  • Is God's power really "at work within us"? In me?
  • Do my prayers demonstrate that I believe that? Does my imagination?
  • Does my life, my lifestyle, my relationships, my work demonstrate that I believe in this kind of power at work in me and in all those who belong to God in Christ?
  • Do I really believe this?
  • Does our church?

I believe that God can do all that for people but when it comes to my own life, sometimes it's hard to believe it. Do I really believe that God has someone after His own heart for me? Do I really believe He has a great plan for my life? I find myself having to confess His truth daily to renew my faith.

The 40 days for prayer sounds amazing. I haven't heard anything about it here.

Rosane, I know that sometimes is hard to believeRosane, I know that sometimes is hard to believe, but God doesn’t lie and His promises are “Yes” and “Amen” He has wonderful blessings for your life.
